In México it is unknown about regulatory frameworks in terms of transparency, which prevents people from exercising their right to know the use of resources.
The project began by gathering quantitative data through studies carried out as well as through surveys to understand the context of donations in Mexico. Nonprofit organizations were researched and interview guides were designed for the different stakeholders; subsequently user persona models were created that allowed us to identify our users.Research was also done on blockchain technology, its scope, limitations as well as regulations within Mexican laws.
The information was analyzed to detect value insights, through this and with the deep understanding of our users, journey maps were made.It was discovered that not all donors know their tax benefits and that there is a lack of knowledge about the large number of institutions with social projects.
"Almost eight out of ten Mexicans say they prefer to give their help directly to a needy person instead of channeling it institutionally."
Ideation sessions were made and a mobile application for donors was design, that give donors certainty through the transparency of the funds. Thanks to blockchain technology, allows to manage transactions with tokens and track each of the donated resources.
The scopes of the MVP were defined and wireframes were developed to perform usability tests, through which co-creation and validation sessions were carried out with the development team.
